Welcome to the Warren Fire Department
We are expanding!
As some of the residents of Warren have started to notice we have broke ground for a new addition. Our current station has been home since
1963 and it's starting to get cramped. As emergency vehicles are getting bigger and the need for the fire department expands, we are finding
it harder to fit them in the station. Being that we are a thrifty and multi-talented crew we are doing most of the work ourselves with
donated help from local construction companies. This shows what a great community we have when everyone comes together to help out. If your
interested in helping in one form or another please email us or contact one of the local fire fighters.
We are a volunteer fire department that consist of an average of 38 members. We do several funraising events throughout the year including
our annual spring teen dance, Fire Fighters Consignment Auction. New this year we will be running the
Entertainment Tent at this year's JoDaviess County Fair and will be bringing back Water
Fights to the Pumpkin Festival. For a full list of events and times see our Upcoming Events
link. Aside from fundraisers we are proactive with Fire Prevention Education in which we team up with
Apple River Fire since we share the same school distict.
We recently put up a new Storm Siren to update the old one. The new Storm Siren is capable of being set off
by our county dispatch center and has battery back-up in case of a power outage. The Warren Fire Department
paid for half through a charitable donation from the Hackett's and the village of Warren paid for the other
half.
We also have a new fixture to replace the monument that was moved to the new Memorial Park. This is a beautifull
chain saw carving of our logo paid for by the Warren Fire Fighters Association. Check it out it's really neat.
